Most things around the main square were under construction or renovation, but the huge new centerpiece Alexander the Great statue was up. The ancient stone bridge was all set, with plenty of stories to tell (foundations go as far back at the 6th century) but everything nearby was a construction zone and the fortress was closed. Not much to write home about from here, but a quick stop on the way through is a must.
