The awesome northeast coast of Brazil! Beaches and sunshine and more beaches that just keep going and going!

Just 2 degrees from the Equator, with perfect weather all year long, pleasant Taiba, a 30 minute walk along the beach, is full of guest houses, restaurants on the beach and in town, is for real beach lovers and kite boarders.

I spent several days relaxing in peace at this fantastic spot less than an hour from Fortaleza. A great apartment on the nice, wide, empty beach, hot and breezy all the time, warm ocean water, moderate waves and a nice, simple town nearby. This was the exact opposite of Rio as far as action goes, and just what the doctor ordered.

This is kite surfing headquarters, with many schools nearby and a waveless lagoon for beginners. This area is very popular with Europeans for the guaranteed winds, strong and contant, with sunshine and warm water all year long, with no wetsuit ever being needed. The really big high season for kite surfing is around July-December, with stronger wind, but the breeze is suitable all year long.

The warm wind makes for pleasant days in the sun for non surfers, too.

There are dune buggies for rent to ride up and down the beach or on the massive sand dunes that go for miles and miles, and trips of several days can be organized to places with no roads, only reached from the beach. Inexpensive uest houses are always available along the way.

Just email me if you want info on a great, modern apartment to rent, right here on the beach, with pool and a/c and everything you need to enjoy the quiet, peaceful side of Brazilan beach life.
