Johana, her father and I rented a car and headed for my apartment in Alcossebre for New Years celebrations (or more like a few days to relax). Leaving late at night on the 29th, with little traffic on the roads, we clocked in at 4 hours and 15 minutes. It is the first time I have taken the car to Alcossebre (well, I have only been there four times so far), and must say I found it a smooth drive. So I'll easily do it again.

Over the next few days, in 20 degrees Celsius temperatures (I'll guess I have to join in... "what's happening to the weather dude?"), we strolled around in t-shirts, drank beer under a warm sun, slept more than our share, relaxed, played poker and almost went for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea. Except for that we did pretty much nothing. New Years Eve came and went, and suddenly it was time to pack up and head back to the capital with it's slightly cooler winter temperatures.

Conclusion; probably my most relaxed New Years celebration ever. It was also the fourth New Years Eve in a row that I have celebrated away from my home country Norway. In 2003 I was in Seattle, followed by Panama City and Buenos Aires.
