Yo soy de Boca señor, cantemos todos con alegría, aunque no salga campeón, el sentimiento no se termina. Y dale Booo, y dale dale Boca...

Imagine about 60.000 totally nuts Argentinan football locos singing the above, and I tell you it's guaranteed goosebumps from head to toe. My brother have managed to drag me to another football match, this time it's Boca Juniors (probably the most famous football club in Latin America) against Independiente. It's the second last match of the season, and Boca is number two in the league. As it's also the last home match for the season, no wonder the game was sold out. We knew it was sold out, but went to the game early hoping to find tickets on the black market. Buying tickets on the black market outside La Boca stadium is an experience in itself. First, we were told there would be plenty of false tickets around, so how do we avoid buying one when it's the first time we're here? Second, if the tickets turns out not to be false, how do we get a decent seat (we're not that keen to sit in the away supporters section or amongst the most crazy local supporters for that matter)? Third and finally, what is a decent price for a ticket on the black market in Argentina? We spent our time talking to lots of guys, and not buying the first ones we found (like I usually do). And after a while we got the hang of it, we found out about the different sections in the stadium, where the best seats were as well as the different price levels. Most guys trying to sell us tickets did of course try to rip us off, but we found a honest looking guy in the end with two good looking tickets at a decent price. So we bought them off him, when he promised to follow us to the turnstiles so we could see for ourselves that the tickets were not fake.

The two seats were in fact very decent, and the atmosphere unbelievable. The sun was shining, the people were totally nuts and the cheerleader warm up show worth the price of the tickets alone. And in the end, when Boca Juniors won 2-0 and the previous leader of the league only managed a draw (making Boca number one before the last match), everyone just went crazy...
