All the places we have hit so far along the coast of Brazil I had heard about before. We have also enjoyed all the places we have visited, but we still haven't found our paradise beach. I know for a fact that Brazil got heaps of wonderful beaches, but we haven't really found any of them so far. The beaches has been very good, but nothing more. That was until we found Trindade, a small village about thirty minutes south of Paraty. Neither of us had heard about the place, before we got it recommended by a guy in Paraty. So off we went, and after spending a few days there, I think it is pretty darn close to a paradise beach (or beaches). I've been to slightly better beaches around the world before, but it definitively ranks up there. So it's kind of funny that a place we had not heard about, and that we would have probably ended up skipping if someone hadn't mentioned it to us, turned out to be our favorite beach so far. After all, perfect beaches are what we are looking for these days. So Trindade becomes one of those hidden spots like Playa Majagual back in Nicaragua, that you just happen to bump into by accident. A dreamlike place you are very very very happy to have found.
In addition to spending our time on the beaches around Trindade, we also spend several days in and around the wonderful historical quarter of Paraty. We both have a slight cold, so there's no boozy nightlife to talk about. Instead we just enjoy good food and walk around in circles.
