After lunch I went for a stroll to the Domain, Auckland's big museum! It was a $10 donation to get in but with that I could go on a free guided tour around the museum which I did. The tour started at 2pm and was supposed to be an hour long, after just under two hours later I had to leave to catch the ferry. We'd only just finished the second floor and the guide still had at least another half an hour to go to finish the third floor but I couldn't stay! Tour was really interesting and I'm glad I didn't just wander around on my own, would like to back another time and complete the museum! Now it was 3.45 and my ferry left at 4.15 so there was no way to catch it unless I ran!! I just made it but it nearly killed me!
I decided to sit on the top deck of the ferry home, apart from me and a few others it was empty up there :] I got talking to a stranger for most of the way back, chatting about travel and life philosophy. When we stopped back at the port and he shock my hand and wished me good luck in life and was gone! Really made my day!!
This evening I had to pack up my bits for Australia as usual I had left it last minute but before I did that we all when down to the harbour for fish and chip and into Oceans for a quick drink! Nessa and Paul took me to the airport around 9. I couldn't get inside straight away as there was a fire alert and everyone had been sent to wait outside whilst the fire brigade check it out! I had 11 hours to waste tonight until my flight in the morning so I slept straight away...but only until 4.30am as I couldn't sleep any longer. A McDonalds for breakfast then sat around until I could board my flight! Departure of my flight was late but it didn't bother as I just slept the entire time I was on the plane only waking once to eat my ham and cheese sandwich!
