Route 10 goes right the way from east to west, and the countryside is amazing and changes dramatically every day.
I thought I should add something more positive as it seems like all Ive done is moan when I read through my entries.
The east coast driving was boring as they just line the roads with trees which are exactly the same, but route 10 starts off on the flats on the Florida panhandle with Cypress trees with their knees poking strangely up through the ground (we will add some pics later) then through the swamps of Louisiana where you ride on a bridge which goes for 10's of miles, then on night we didn't realise it as we drove through Texas, but the desert surrounded us with mountains and canyons and stuff.
Casinos started popping up along the road instead of the normal Mcdonalds and other services, we followed some signs for food and ended up in a cafe attached to a casino.
As we walked in the security came over and ID'd us, bit strong for a cafe.
I ordered the meatloaf which cost nearly nothing and came with refill drinks and pecan pie, one of the best meals Ive had so far.
Shaz had the omelette, very adventurous, and jealously eyed up my meatloaf.
I went to use the 'restroom' and when I came back to wash my hands as I always do, I noticed a huge silver six barreled gun resting on the basin.
The security guard came over and picked it up, "This damned thangs too heavy for ma pants!"
We checked out the river walk in San Antonio, very clean and tree lined with lights and clear water, fountains, waterfalls etc.
Also we looked at the Alamo, type Alamo into google if you are looking for a history lesson.
Another good thing about Texas is the roads are huge and straight and they raise the speed limit to 80mph, which means everyone does 90mph and the law are quite happy..

See you on the other side.
