Luckily I had found a host who was willing to meet me at the station and take me back to her house for some much needed supper. Lisamarie and I had been in contact for a few days previous and were excited to meet each other. After a short bus ride to her house I also met her two adorable rabbits; Elvis and Lilly. We sat down together and had a chat while we waited for her second Couch Surfer, Vince to arrive. Shortly after, a young man from the Netherlands walked through her door bearing gifts of Stroopwaffles. I was so happy to see those delicious treats again! We all conversed in Lisamaries living room while eating Stroopwaffles, chocolate and a delicious German desert made with ginger bread and chocolate. It wasn't long before our eyes grew heavy and we all agreed that we needed a full nights rest.

I spent two nights at Lisamarie's house, but most of my time was spent on the internet trying to secure a place to stay in Italy while she was at work. Soon my short time in Chur had come to an end and it was time to board my next scenic train; the Bernina Express. This train was much like the Glacier express except it traveled higher within the mountains, which provided a better view.

After 4 hours of hopping back and forth between comfortable seats which provided the best view of what we were passing by, the conductor instructed that we had arrived in Italy. I have to admit, I was a little bit nervous traveling Italy by myself. I had heard many stories about how Italians live their lives and it all sounded a bit intimidating. I was particularly nervous about how I heard Italian men react to beautiful women. But, as I stepped off the Bernina Express and onto an Italian platform I held my head high and was ready for anything.
