At last the famous Iguazu Falls... I was particularly looking forward to seeing these falls and was not disappointed! First stop the Brazillian side- this was spectacular in its own right! The walkway along the side of the falls gave us amazing views all the way along and a platform took us out to get a good soaking at the base! The following day we crossed the border back into Argentinia to see the other side of the falls- the Brazillian side paled into insignificance! We visited the devils throat, then went out into speed boats right into the mouth of the falls....an unforgettable experience feeling the full force of the water at such close quarters!! The only downside was the number of tourists at the site!! Looking forward to checking out the Angel Falls in Venezuela which promises to be a lot quieter due to its accessibility!
Visited Paraguay over the friendship bridge for a spot of shopping prior to our night bus to Paraty- a frenzy of black market and duty free shopping where I treated myself to yet another gadget, a portable DVD player!!
