I am in the dog-house a bit this morning because I wont go to the temple with everyone to take care of the ashes.  I am quite happy with what is happening - why wouldnt I be ? - but dont think it is appropriate for me to be helping out with Jai's husband's ashes.  The family all head off to the temple and I bike into Phon Thong.
There is good news and bad news from the British Embassy but it always seems to be that way.  They are quite nhappy for us to visit the Embassy on the 24th March, the day before we fly out, but cannot guarantee amending the visa on that day.  What's that all about ?
I e-mail back to say that we will come on a normal visa day, Thursday 20th and can they confirm that this is suitable.  Fingers crossed again.
It is very hot again today.  When I was at John's a few days back the thermometer on the front of his house, which is always in the shade, was reading 39 degrees at 17:00, just an hour before sundown.  In the mid-afternoon sun ?
It is difficult to do much more than lie around in the afternoons which is pretty much all I have done for a month now.
In the evening we make the most of Kae being here and get him to help tidy up the garden.
Work finished we all sit outside to eat.
Jiap has asked us to go back to Bangkok in her car when she leaves on Sunday to see her house and stay there for the week before we leave.  We are thinking about it.
