Teperature forecast to be between 8-14 degrees this morning and it feels like the lower end of the estimate.
Jai cuts a few cabbage to meet her orders from yesterday and we deliver it on our way inti Phon Thong.
Buy a few bits and pieces for our party.  Being lazy I decide to get some plastic plates, forks and spoons as well and even some small plastic glasses for the kids to drink from so hopefully we dont get broken glass all over the floor.  I wanted to give everyone who comes a small present and Jai suggested that we buy biscuits and wrap them up in small packages so 2kg of loose biscuits from the market.
It is a lot warmer on the ride back and upon arrival I spend a liesurely hour weeding in the sun whilst Jai cooks.  It is a sign of the times that Jai is making a big pan of stew !  Warms us up nicely at lunchtime ( and will do the same for the next few days !).
We go to the farm early this afternoon to catch the sun a bit.  When brother Pad first left the farm someone stole his chickens before he had time to relocate them to his house in the village.  Whilst Jai is getting water from the pond one of them suddenly appears who must have escaped first time around.  She doesnt escape this time, however, and is soon tied up in a rice sack to come back to the houise with us.
We had given up on getting a duck for Xmas as it appears that everyone sold out during the rice cutting last month but now it looks like chicken will be on the menu !
We stop at neighbour Deu's farm on our way back to buy some rice husks for our ducks and whilst there we get him to kill the chicken for us as we are both too squeamish.
As soon as we are back at the house the chicken is plucked and gutted and is in a pot of boiling water on the BBQ burner in the garden.
Jai has added another quilt to our bed for tonight and it feels good as soon as we get in.
Arsenal v Chelsea was advertised for Thai TV9 tonight but when I turn the TV on I get Crystal Palace 0v3 Newcastle instead.  It would seem that they only show what the EPL would classify as cheap games.
