Before going into town thuis morning I nip out to the farm to give the trees a drink.  Having neglected them for a while when we were unsure about our water supply we are trying to make up for it now by watering a little every day until we leave.  Then they really will be on their own.
Into Phon Thong for the Saturday market and discover that we have both lost weight again.
Back to farm to work in the late afternoon.
After we have eaten this evening I get a visit from a schoolteacher, Ajan Bachong(sp), who lives two doors away from us.  He is going to a wedding party tonight involving a farang and wants to be able to say something to him in English.  Between the three of us we come up with simple translations for the things he wants to say.  I ask him where the farang comes from and he tells me Germany.  He is then surprised to find out that Germans may not necessarily speak English and my German is even more limited than his own English.  Anyway, he seems to leave happy.
We are also told that there will be a morlam show at the wedding festivities that is open to everyone without invitation.  I never go to these things but Jai likes them, with a farang involved and with only a week or so left here I agree to go for an hour.  Get changed just after 20:00 and bike to look for the house where the party is taking place.  Park up and start to walk in when Jai realises that it is still a private party and as we werent invited its back to the house.  Wish I hadnt made the effort now and I am sure there is a a message for me in this somewhere ... 'Dont bother at all in the future" !!
