Into Phon Thong this morning for the Saturday market and buy some new dishes for the kitchen.  Have been trying for ages to get some nice china bowls but have had no luck so we have had to make do with plastic again.
I buy some more seeds for the garden but the carrots have sold out so they will have to be a write-off for this year.
We wiegh in and find that all of the work at the farm is showing itself.  We have both come down quite a lot since last time we weighed in spite of the fact that we have probably been eating and drinking more than usual.  For the first time we both weigh less than we did when we arrived back here at the end of August.
On our way back to the village we stopped to buy a few more palm oil trees but the boss was busy doing business with his pigs.  It is really hot again today after waiting for about 15mins I decide to return to the village rather than hang around any longer and come back later.
In our absence another birthday card has arrived.
George and Wan come to see us mid afternoon by which time it has got silly hot.  It feels more like March or April in the hot season rather than the start of the cool season.  Wan offers Jai a duck for her birthday if she will go to their place and help kill and prepare it ready for a small party we are going to have on Monday night.
Late afternoon we bike back towards Phon Thong and buy another 7 trees.  We actually buy eight but only just.  As we are choosing the trees I spot one pot where the seed has produced two trees.  They want to charge me for both but as I point out that they are in just the one pot and that is all I will pay for they finally agree for us to have it as 'one'.
