Into Phon Thong this morning to update this blog and do a bit of shopping.
When I get back to the house sister Bepat is sat with Jai whilst she makes her mats.  I discover that the devil child from next door has yet another puppy !  When we gfot back here this year they had three dogs.  A puppy died quite quickly after our arrival, I would say from neglect and the senior dog, which they had had for years, ran away - looking for a better home ?  The last dog they had doesnt look too good either but now this new puppy has arrived as well.  To me it looks as though it should still be with its mother but either way I guess its days are sadly numbered.  I have wondered if the devil child needs puppies for ritual sacrifice or something but ... maybe thats just my wicked imagination - or not !!!!
Two more birthday cards arrived in the post today.
Late afternoon I water the garden before we go to the farm today as quite often by the time we return I dont feel like it at all.  We start to clear a new area of land and give the trees some water.  We are just finishing when the sky goes black and the wind picks up then the heavens open with a vengeance.  I had thought we had seen the last of the rain for this year but the farm is very grateful for the storm.  I am due to phone mum but when I call cant hear a word with the rain bouncing of the tin roof over my head and we have to postpone until the storm finishes.  The ride back to the village is interesting with the bike sliding all over the place in the muddy roads.  Upon arrival we find that the village is just about dry and apart from a few spots of rain the storm just passed by here.
