Into Phon Thong for the Saturday market. Buy a few chilli bushes and some papaya trees. Since our first year here we have had no luck at all with either of these but will try again.
Late afternoon we bike out to the farm to check on the rice. In some places the land has held the little bit of water better than others and the rice isnt looking too bad. In other places it has not grown at all and the ground is bone dry. I also start work clearing my new 'hobby' land. As soon as I start work on it the piece of land looks bigger and bigger ... !!
