Jai, her sisters and mum are off to the land office again this morning so we have to postpone the visitto the motorbike office for tax etc  to make me legal - well, almost legal.  I decide to go into town on the bike anyway and just hope that the friendly, helpful, local constabulary dont pull me over for anything.  A six pound payment willclear up almost anything mind so it wouldnt be the end of the world if I did get stopped.  When I rode the bike in the village it didnt feel quite right but I thought that this was due to me not riding it for 6 months.  Still feels a bit strange this morning however.  Whilst slowly making my way into town I glance down and notice that the clock has advanced 7000+km in our absence and since the bike had been locked up in the spare room !!!  Maybe this explains a lot.
I spend a couple of hours on the internet writing up the first few days of this blog, adding photos and videos.
We need to do a big shop and the idea was that Jai should be finished at the land office by now and would meet me in town.  I phone her but thay are still waiting and things are not moving very fast.  I'm not hanging around here all day so go into town on my own which should be fun.  Am greeted like a long lost friend at the market and shopping goes OK but then again I can handle the language for fruit and veg etc.  Off to the small general store that we use for washing powder etc, floor cleaner, washing up liquid, shampoo, toothpaste, afew cooking sauces, powders, etc etc etc.  Most of the packaging I can recognise but obviously cant actually read anything.  The shop is busy so I cant ask for assistance and where in doubt I simply dont buy it.  Think i've got most things though.  Do have a clumsy moment when I knock over a small bottle of sweet chilli sauce which smashes on the floor next to my foot spraying my shoe and leg with the sweet sticky sauce - the flies etc are going to love that.  Next stop is for some cornflour and icing sugar and this could be more difficult.  The cornflour comes easy but the icing sugar is in clear unmarked bags and after a few minutes trying to clarify things with the lady in the shop I decide to just leave it there until next time.  Bread and milk from the 7/11 I can manage then some petrol and back to the village, mentally exhausted !!  It is getting really hot today as well which isnt helping and it is great to get the helmet off and put my head under cold water as soon as I get back.
I make myself a sandwich for lunch then settle down with the puzzles lage from the London Evening Standard compliments of EgyptAir.  Later I begin the task of clearing the back garden and revealing stuff that might be growing beneath the undergrowth.  It is very hot and humid this afternoon so I have had more than enough after an hour.  I have a huge pile of cut grass, trees, etc but standing back and looking at the garden I dont seem to hjave achieved a great deal.  Cold shower then settle down with a book.  Jai and Co return after 16:00 but have been told that they need to go again in about 3 weeks time.  Jai tells me that her daughterphoned to say that she will be coming here in a few days time to confirm wedding date and will probably be staying here until the day to help with arrangements.
To bed early again tonight but I am finding it difficult to sleep.
