A great nights sleep after all of the travelling.  We bike into Phon Thong this morning to check the internet and stock up some empty cupboards.  Late morning our builder neighbour comes to see us and give us a quote on the work we want doing.  He wants GBP40 (2000Bht) for his work and has left us with a shopping list of the materials he will need to do the job.
It is the cremation of Lawan's mother this afternoon so I bike Jai over to Pak Chong, stay for an hour then return on my own.  There are lots of people there sat around eating and drinking and waiting for the car to come to take the coffin out to the crematorium.  The coffin sits in the main room of the house covered in flashing coloured lights.  They still are not sure why she died but they have been told by the doctor not to have an open coffin as she is not a pretty sight ?
Jai gets back about 4pm and we go to the village shop to order our materials.  GBP70 (3400Bht) will buy us just about everything except for a few pieces of wood that they do not have in stock.  We pay for the rest and it will all be delivered tomorrow morning.
I have something to eat then take Jai to friend Wan's house then both of them over to Pak Chong again.  They will help with the cooking tonight and will come back early tomorrow morning.  I shower and turn in for an early night with a book and am surprised to be woken about 21:00 by Jai returning with work finished.
