Plant out some leeks, small onoins, garlic and yellow peppers this morning. Go to visit George and Wan for lunch and back mid afternoon. We are relaxing in the back garden when someone from the local ministers office comes to say that they are interested in buying some soil from Jai's farm. We get on the bike and follow them out so that they can take a look. There is a lot of laterite in the soil around here and they dig it out by the ton to use when reparing the roads. Jai has a large area of woodland where there is loads of this soil which is of little use for growing anything. They wander off into the trees and will make a decision later - dont hold you're breath !
