Pop into Phon Thong briefly to check on e-mail and find one from sister Pam saying that mum is having phone problems and that it is currently out of use. It is my night for calling home but this evening call Pam instead for an update on the phone situation. It seems to be quite a saga and I am glad to far removed from it. Shortly after getting off the phone and returning home Pam calls again to say that mum's phone has started working again this morning so back down the road I go again, to find a signal, and have a chat with mum after all.
