We attempt to make some burger rolls this morning using a recipe I acquired from the internet and also to bake a currant cake.  Both were varying degrees of failure !  The rolls are edible but small, misshapen and harda nd the first time that the cake came out of the oven it wasnt cooked and the mixture ran out of the bottom of the cake going everywhere.  It was pieced backtogether and put back in for a second cooking and eventually emerged OK.
We were more succesful with making tomato puree from the large tomatoes we are picking daily and with bottling some beetroot.
