Into Phon Thong this morning for a big shop. Late morning go to see John and apologise for the lack of any tobacco but give him a large baguette from Laos instead. He reciprocates by giving me a paclet of blue cheese - we have to share our little luxeries here !! When we get back to the house I spread the cheese onto half of a baguette and it is gorgeous. Strange what flavours you really miss. In the evning John and his missus Louane come to eat and have a few beers.
