With little happening and finding myself 'Home Alone' I decide to have a go at baking a Christmas fruit cake. I have been looking for suitable fruit for a while now but can only find currants so not really a fruit cake at all. I loosely follow a recipe and splash in a good whallop of local rice whiskey but it doesnt rise too much. I had this problem last time I baked and have decided that it must need a bigger measure of the local baking powder than the recipe states. Apart from that it is OK and can be eaten which is the main thing.
