Just as we are eating breakfast Jai's son comes to visit. He needs the paperwork for his motorbike to show to the police in Phon Thong. There is a music show on there in the evenings at the moment and his wife's brother had borrowed hisa bike to go into town with some friends last night. There had been some trouble and some fighting and a group of them had beern stopped by the police and asked to produce paperwork for bikes that he didnt have. News later is thatone of Jai's young nephews, well, 15 years old, was actually arrested last night and is being held in custody pending someone patying 500Bht (about 11GBP) for his release. His mother has told him it is his fault for getting into trouble and that 500Bht is needed for other things so he has to stay in custody for about 4 days before the police will release him. Good for her !!
