I go into Phon Thong this morning and buy a birthday present for Jai and a couple of plastic garden chairs. There seems to have been far too many of the older people dying here since we got back and another has just departed. Jai once again is off in the afternoon with our neighbour to go to the funeral. This means that I get to enjoy another lazy and peaceful afternoon stretched out in the garden with a book.
