Baht exchange rate is now 46.02 = 1GBP !! I preferred it a couple of years ago when it was 70Bht.
We purchased a new SIM for Jai's phone as hers had not been used for 6 months the company had kindly cancelled it. Got in touch with our taxi driver, met uyp and were quickly on our way north. Stopped for some Isaan food en-route and were back in Khamnadie some 8 1/2 hours later.
A few hundred yards after leaving the bus stop in Longlevens I realised that I had left my phone on charge in the spare bedroom. Arrived at Heathrow with a slight worry about the weight of our luggage as we were carrying 30+ paperbacks and a load of baking equipment for Jai. When we weighed in and I saw 50kg the pound signs flitted begore my eyes in excess baggage. We were informed that as frequent flyer members we were actually allowed 25kg each do problem solved. More good news followed as because our flight had been cancelled from the previous day the airline were giving us a complimentary upgrade to say sorry. Thanks very much. When we found our large and comfortable seats Jai was sat next to an older Thai lady so launched back into her own language with great enthusiasm. Arrived Bangkok with no problems and a comfy flight. Is it just me or does it seem to anyone else that there is always more turbulence on flights these days ?
