The roads around here are largely shocking. Last year they tarmacced(sp) a large part of the road into town which is not too bad now but why they didnt finish the job ... ? They have just started work on another small section but have stopped half way through to go and plant the rice. This means that a km or so of the main road is covered in sharp, loose, gravel, that plays havoc with the tyres. Needless to say punctures abound. Today I finally give up and buy a new rear tyre to help protect the innertube.
