Sunday

Bit of a lazy start to the morning......no rush to get moving as we saw on the weather forecast that we were going to be waking up to 1 degree this morning! Chilly!!! The sun was shining and it looked nice out but very deceptive. It has been a Mardi Gras weekend at Universal this weekend and the hotel has been full – breakfast was busy.

Darks washing done and whilst I searched and applied for jobs ready for our return, Steve listened to the Wales v Scotland game on the radio.  Well done boys – great result!! We then had a Skype with Gemma and Edi and then Jules and Dave – great to see them all.

Around lunchtime on a recommendation from Guy, we headed off to Downtown Disney.  It was a lovely place to walk around and there were lots of people out with their families and the atmosphere was really good.  We walked past an AMC theatre and I said that I would like to see "The Girl With The Daragon Tattoo" film and have wanted to after reading the triology.  So we went to have a look at what was on and that film was not on until 5pm, however Mission Impossible in 4D was just starting.  We queued up for tickets and Steve asked what the 4D was.  The girl explained that the film was called Mission Impossible 4 and the D was for dining, it was in the theatre by Planet Hollywood and you had “dinner”while watching the film.  Mmmmmmm..........totally alien to us Brits. The other bonus was that it was inside and we kept warm, Steve only had a tee shirt on thinking it was warmer than it actually was.

We went round and bought our tickets and chose our seats.  Venturing in the theatre it was brilliant – luxury recliner leather seats with a small dimly lit illuminated shelf infront of you with a menu.  Soon after the movie started a lady came and took our order – what a brilliant concept.  Wake up UK Cinema's, this would be great at home!  Both really enjoyed the film – Jay you need to watch it, a fair bit filmed in Dubai at the Burj Hotel!

We continued with a wander around and of course had to go into the Disney Experience Store – it is a compulsory stop for Nana and Grampy’s!  The pics speak for themselves and we had a giggle.  Inside they had a kind of “Beauty Parlour” for the little ones to go in and get pampered.  Our two would have just loved it.

Back to the hotel early evening and a chill night ahead deciding where to go tomorrow, still nothing booked but we have to end up in Miami to fly out on the 17th.  Have considered South Beach, Key Largo or even Naples on the West Florida coast but nothing booked yet. Any suggestions if anyone knows this area would be helpful.

I know it's out of season but I still expected to see more bodies there. It's practically deserted. Those Lego sculptures are amazing though even if it's just for their size.
