Good morning! I am so digging today!! I have been on a great adventure that started at 6:30a.m with Vicki and I checking out of the hotel then taking the charger to the ....are you ready...Train Station. That is right, while sitting in the boring conference yesterday, I decide that I want to see some more  of the country and boy does it help to have friends that live at nice destinations. I got a round trip ticket which set me on the rail due south to Portland, Oregon to visit Kevin, Ellie and Noah (friends from Palmer). I left at 730 and got in at 1115am. I was loving the trip...even the bathroom was a treat.....I had on my head phones listening to a little Tony Bennett, Van Morrison, and James Taylor and taking in the scenery.  I made a few calls and sent a few texts.....mainly to rub in the fact that I was taking in the awesome coast! I took some pictures, read my book and even caught up on USA Today......man who knew American Idol was so great????yak! There were some great little stations that had a a few people with welcome signs, as well as a few with an aroma of dog food...OK? I got in and found my friends and headed out to go to their house which is actually in Vancouver, WA.....Oh...my GOD...These huge Mountains just rise out of the earth and amazed me...I got to see Mt. St. Helen, which I was assured would not erupt while I was here and even if it did it would go west......I HOPE!!!! I saw Mt. Hood which was still covered in snow and GINORMOUS! We went to a couple parks and even a Wal-mart....you know for the necessary supplies for a wild night with a 2 year old!! So here I am, I just checked in with Mom to assure her that I am alive and "just at the library". Oh and no worries...she is doing great at keeping up on the gossip while I am gone. Good job Mom!!! I am so looking forward to being like Lewis and Clark tomorrow!!
