Good morning,  I slept like a rock and woke at 7am to a phone ringing.."Hi Steph, this is Mindy....we are grounded in Deluth, MN and do not know when we are getting in.." Nice! I am the chauffeur today with 3 other people coming into town today.....and now 2 are looking like it may be dark before then get here. Today is just a day of getting organized for the conference that starts Sunday. The Main Street conference is a annual deal that gets all the towns that are participating in this program, which helps revitalize an older downtown, together. I have signed up for some great tours and classes... I mean I am in Seattle, It will not hurt to be out of the rain a little!
Shanna and I went to this quaint little breakfast joint and had Eggs Benedict and coffee....I am now sitting at her office NOT drinking coffee but strongly thinking of donning the rain gear and heading next door....yes next door for some Starbucks.....More later. Oh well, the day was a wet one. I was basically sitting in the cell phone waiting area for the majority of the afternoon waiting to pick up the peeps... I did however people watch and see some families hugging and so happy to see each other...The luggage claim is actually a happy place. I picked up Nathan and we headed to the hotel.....I played tour guide and cruised the streets like there were my own.The hotel is great! BIG< SOFT<bed with a zillion pillows and a spectacular view. After rolling around on the king size bed,  I rounded up the troops and headed to the airport of the final pick up. I found a pair of caffinated and pissed travelers that were ready for a night out.....oh and lets not forget that they are hungry like the wolf. We head to West Seattle to a place called Salty's. We had an awesome view of the downtown all lit up and some super great food...only thing was that our waiter "lets call him Scott" was a bit rude and was constently looking down his nose at me.....get over yourself buddy....girls wear Detroit tigers hats too.....maybe he was a Mariners fan? So after dinner with full bellies we all retired to our rooms......I think I stayed in one place all night!!!
