Well, the evening was great. I met up with both Stacy and Shanna and we had a nice dinner....we realized that we were indeed growing up and in fact maybe getting old......damn teenyboppers with piercings......So after being practically narcoleptic..I hit the hay at 10ish and then cockadoodledo 3am I was wide awake.........And now...I am once again sipping the Starbucks getting ready for an adventure on Bainbridge island....OH and what an adventure! I had all intentions of getting on the 11:25am ferry....yes that was a pipe dream....I was stuck for an hour, twenty minutes outside of the city and pulled up in front of the terminal at 11:24...not going to make it...so  I called up Vicki and aimed for the 12:20pm ferry...and with an hour to kill, why not cruise the city and learn the lay of the land. I was up one ways and down steep streets...YIKES!! So I found the Westin downtown where we will be staying and thought "hey this looks like a nice little street"...GO RIGHT...um good job "welcome to the MARKET". I do not think that I was supposed to go in there, but I made it look like I knew what I was doing....yeah right! So I was cruising down the middle of the market street.....people looking at me like I was either insane or important....CRAP! I finally get out of there there cannot find a street that will take me to the waterfront.....so I just head South.....You all know that I am geographically challenged and what I thought was south was actually north and I was not paying attention to the time....oh great the next ferry leaves in 20 minutes...so I haul buns down the riverfront and try to find some parking....well I would have been successful had this damn little Geo metro and monster escalade not cut me off and took the last spots in the lot.....so I raged around the corner and found this parking structure....I pull in park and get out and the guy tells me it is 7 bucks for 3 hours....giddyup!!!! I toss him the keys and run like prefontain up this steep...and I do mean steep ramp (stopping midway to look for an oxygen tank) and make it as the lady is closing the ticket window.....I made it woooo..but it is raining and I am drenched...where is the bathroom? Now going to the bathroom on a ferry is interesting, especially when you are using every muscle in your body to keep you hovering and not falling over...don't touch the walls! So I enjoy the rest of the 30 minute ride to Bainbridge island trying to get artsy with the camera and trying to stay dry. I arrive to find Vicki antsy due to her waiting an entire extra hour for me.....oh wait....we have to be where in 3 hours?...yeah so we hike the banks of the city and check out where the tides ebb and flow.....  Hungry??? Why do you ask? It is not like me to forget a meal.....so per Vicki's suggestion we head to the pub on the marina and have an awesome lunch oh Salmon and sweet potato fries..YUM! We then proceed with a slight stagger..I mean who has lunch and not 2 pints of the town fave the Kilt Lifter? We now have to run again to meet a ferry to make it back to the Seattle. We make it back dry, full and frankly I could have used a nap! We stop at a couple little shops and then back to the car garage that reminds me of Ferris Buler's parking escapade.....except I am hoping and praying that theses men that had my car have not been jumping it on the hills of Seattle. I walk up with a smile and hand them my stub and wait for the keys, when this little dark haired foreign woman tell me it will be 16 bucks for the parking...Oh believe me it was not a happy face I left with....The man that parked my car just so happened to not be there....so I had to pay in order to get my keys.....I got SCREWED! I peeled out mad....and realized that I was being a jerk.....so I calmed down and Vicki and I made our way to the expressway to head north. We were going to meet her brother and his wife for dinner at a restaurant in wine country. It is great up there and very green! We pull into the resort that is huge and beautiful and I realize....maybe you should be wearing something other than jeans and a North Face Jacket....does Chanel make fleece?.....or at least jeans that cost $200 a pair... Dang! There was this huge tree (in my pics) that was burnt in the north and brought there as a centerpiece for the resort. The restaurant is called the Barking Frog.....now fondly know as my barking wallet due to the prices....geez, I had tuna.....wish I could have brought my own can..It was very good, but that is a once in a while deal and for the folks we were with it was a regular thing.....so yeah...lets just say that I licked the plate clean....Even thought about stealing the napkin (would have made a nice drape) *grin* Needless to say I left not feeling as full as I would have like to of been and headed back to Shanna's house just South of Seattle. We decided an evening cocktails and hot tubing would be in order, but then we realized we would rather have "fat pants" on with a cocktail sitting on the couch in her freezing house (her roomie is a fanatic about the heat bill) with the laptop updating the site...I was donzo at 10 and asleep shortly there after....there is a lot to say about me being a party animal!
