oh boy did the sun come out today. First off, we started the day at the swap meet. It cost 50 cents to get in and I was amazed. Amiee wasn't kidding when she said that we should walk 10 booths and they start all over again. I did however make a few purchases at the jewelry booth and of course there was a green purse screaming my name. I pretty much spent all the money that I had with me. I have managed to convince Amiee that I did not get enough and MUST go back! After a quick stop to get a stash of fermented beverages for the cruise to the Sandbar we headed to the Marine Base to catch the rented pontoon at the marina. I met some of Amiee's co-workers as well as some natives. We were the youngest ones there and we had a blast. After they found out that I was a chiropractor and I got the initial questions, "what can you do about this bulged disc that I have" we were on our way. We actually ran into the rain instead of outrunning it, but when we got to the reef it was ok. We tried about 5 times to put the anchor out, but the current kept wanting to take the boat. We finally got set and were ready for the party to begin. I fell a few times, as seen in the pics, but was amazed by the laid back nature of all the people we were with. They all ate Poke ( raw fish) and I joined in. I figured we better do it now, before it gets too warm...yum! In the process I made a phone call to my parents to check in, and to rub in that I was on a boat in the Pacific Ocean having a cocktail and getting a tan. Granted at the time I did not know that my arms were going to look like they do right now, but just the same! We laughed so much, I think that it was my best day yet. We came back to shore after 4 hours or so and headed to a establishment for pupu's and the biggest beer that I have ever seen. I can easily say that it is bigger than, my head..I have pictures to prove it Jackie!
We are getting ready for bed now, cause tomorrow it is off to Pearl Harbor!
