Ok well...my first few days in Africa. One thing I'm learning this year is how long it takes to adjust to a new place. I think it took me about the same amount of time to get comfortable in South America, although it's easy to get to know this place since Bujugali is so small! It's really the perfect type of place for me to be in...small enough that everyone knows each other, but close enough to a bigger town that you can get away with relative ease. Jinja is about a 15 minute boda-boda (moped) ride from Bujugali, as long as there are no flat tires or gas pit-stops along the way.

Yesterday I went on my own to the village with Jessica again...we had a good day doing follow-ups, although it is hot here! Last night I got three new roomates in the dorm...kayakers from Canada, Russia and Finland...it's amazing how international the crowd is here! I'm going to be moving to a tent in a couple days so that I can have my own space.

So, I leave for my Southeast Asia trip in 5 weeks! That's hard to believe, since I feel like I just got here...

Ok well, hopefully more soon!
