4/18 18 miles. woke up to a great breakfast at the b&b. Packed up my
clean clothes that now smell like horses. Still with the same group
minus red hat. Took a side trail to a cool water fall. Jones falls
was 75 feet high. Saguaro climbed up on a rock to take a pic
and fell in!!! He ended up getting wedged in between two rocks! We had
to pull him out and he was fine. Since he was OK now it OK to laugh
and remind of his fall for the next coupe of days.
4/19 14.9 miles. Had a cold night and morning. Hiked to kincora
hostel for lunch. Kincora is one of those places everybody stops.
It's run by Bob Peoples from Hampton MA. He asks for a $4 donation for
a overnight stay. A really nice guy who gives alot to the trail. We
hiked by another waterfall. This time Saguaro didn't get too close.
Then we hiked though a gorge by the side of a river. Braids caught a
snake bare handed to show all of us. Then we had to climb Pond
Flat's. Which is neither flat ( it's pretty steep) and there are no
ponds! After that we hitched hiked into Hampton. This guy going the
opposite way turned around and put us in his truck. We stayed at
Bramoer Castle. This huge older house left over from the lumber barons.
