Langkawi isn't that great, it served a purpose (our route into Malaysia) but, where we stayed was really just a shoddy, little beach town, to be blunt (it was billed as the top holiday resort on the island). We did however, find it hard to complain with the fact that this is a duty-free island, most things are pretty cheap. The only source of quality entertainment we found was at Underwater World, at the risk of being uber-blunt twice in one post, it's a decently executed aquarium. Erm ..... up next Penang.
