According to brochures and guidebooks Valencia is supposed to be famous for itīs 295 days a year of sunshine. Well, apparently my 3 days have fallen within those 70 "other" days. It was cloudy all day and everytime I went out, it started to spit rain. Nothing major at all, but just not pleasant. Nothing like a week ago, but you still donīt really want to be outside. So itīs been a quiet day. Had a Valencian orange from the market for breakfast which was alright. It was an orange. What more do you say. Then I went to an internet cafe and spent a LONG time posting pictures finally. Didnīt get to do Lisbon and Sevilla but I will soon. Internet is absurdely expensive in this city for some reason. Iīll wait until Barcelona and hope itīs cheaper there. Then I finished reading a book, and bought a new one. Books are extremely expensive here too, as well as music cdīs. Unfortunately. So went back to the hostel out of the rain and just lazed around all day. I havenīt actually done a thing in Valencia other than walk the streets, which has been nice. Read a little, walk around. I think you need those days when you donīt HAVE to do a thing. No museums, no tours, no sights.
Then last night, I went out to this flamenco/more spanish music club. I am NOT a club person. I liked the music, but I donīt like dancing, so that was that evening. I miss the places in Scotland where you just go to a pub and sit around. Thatīs more my pace. Barcelona should be an interesting one at least. So thatīs all from Valencia. Definetely glad I came to check it out. It was worth it.
