On Friday Evening I went back to Downtown again together with Christian. We originally planned to go to the viewpoint on Mont Royal but somehow ended up getting lost in the darkness within the Park. So we decided to head back and had a beer at a pub before heading back home.

Saturday morning Liliana, Christian and I drove to Ottawa, Canada's Capital, about 180 km West of Montreal. Ottawa belongs to Ontario and has around 850'000 citizens. We parked our car in the city center and went straight to the parliament building to gather a free tour ticket. After collecting our tickets we went to visit the market in the city center. We grabbed some lunch in a lovely Italian Restaurant next to the market.

When we checked the time we had to stress back to parliament as we nearly mist our tour departure. Luckily we where able to catch up and got an impressive insight of the central parliament building. I was particularly impressed of the huge library they had there.

After our tour we decided to stroll around in the city center. We got the chance to observe some boats passing the canal. Everything had to be operated manually so I'm sure those people must have had sore muscles from opening and closing the water gates.

Time passed by so quickly and it was already 07.30 PM when we decided to go back to St. Leonard. On the road we stopped for dinner in a Steakhouse in Hawkesbury. After having dinner we continued our drive back home. We went to the viewpoint of Mont Royal where we were more lucky this day. We where able to get a parking spot and could watch some raccoons sneaking around.

It was already past midnight when we came back home. Gorda was already waiting impatiently for our arrival. We went to bed straight away.
