You would think that we would get used to all of the generosity and unexpected kindness we have experienced along the way. But each time, we are surprised and pleased and humbled. Last night, we were running out of daylight with no clear idea of where to stay. Long story short, we started out looking for a patch of grass to pitch our tent, and ended up sleeping in the tiny Pentecostal church on the edge of town. The caretakers not only made us a roaring fire, but insisted that we cook in their cozy kitchen.
Great is thy faithfulness.
