We are brave, leaving Brantome without breakfast. The sun is shining and it looks promising. First off we are headed for Perigueux about 30 K's south of Brantome. We park the car and head for the old town. The church here is quite different in style and out the front the market is in full swing. We find a café on the edge of the market and actually sit outside to have our coffee and croissant and watch the world go by. After a bit of a stroll around the old town and along the river we head back to the car. Next stop Bergerac. First port of call is the tourist office where we get a map to follow the tourist walk. It is interesting to see how the building style changes as you go along. We spend about an hour exploring before we once more head off. Our next stop is a little town called Issigeac, it's a medieval town with stone buildings and narrow streets. From there we continue on to Molieres which is even smaller than Issigeac. It has a pretty square two streets with a couple running crosswise and that's it. The countryside we are driving through is very nice with rolling hills, forests, creeks and cultivated fields. From Molieres we continue on to Sarlat-la-Caneda via a couple of castles. The Saturday market is still going at 4 PM and we can't get to our flat by car. We go and check in on foot and pick the car and luggage up later on. We have a very airy, bright flat on the ground floor with access to the garden and a sitting area just outside our bedroom. It's perfect timing - we have dinner outside it's still daylight and warm at 9PM.

Yes, the long twilights are magical. Great photos by the way!
