After a croissant and coffee for breakfast we hit the road. First of we headed west of Rouen to a place called Lyons-la-Foret. A picturesque little village about 40 K's out of Rouen. Stretching the legs for a while walking around admiring the nice little cottages, churches and chateaux taking lots of photos thanks to digital photography. We headed off to Gerberoy another nice little French village with more of the same. I know, it's tough but someone has to do it. From there we entered into the GPS Honfleur, which is on the other side of Rouen. The bloody thing took us right through Rouen centre ville instead of doing a detour around town! You thought we were on a holiday! Not happy Jan! Thank Christ for red wine when you get to the destination! By the time we arrived in Honfleur we were starving. The restaurant down the road from where we're staying is serving a large plate of mussels for 10A$. 1/2 litre of red wine to wash it down with and all is good again. The studio we booked in for a week is really hard to take. Tres Frenchy, tres chic - Gorgeous!  Warm as toast and perfect location. 400 m to the heart of town. And all that for only A$ 300 a week. After a quick exploration of the town we did some shopping because tomorrow is Sunday and we're not sure yet what will be open.

Hmmm....send me the name of the studio. Sounds good! I notice you didn't comment on the weather this time. That means it's unremarkable (I hope). Have been worried about freezing!! Yes, Europe is very reasonable compared with Australia. AND it's so much more interesting!

Honfleur is such a gem! So I missed you there by a couple of weeks. Keep enjoying of course!
