A coastal drive south of San Francisco before getting there, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Big Sur. There was a car exhibition at the time we were there, so you can imagine my excitement! I've seen first time ever the MacLaren F1, including others.

No way, Santa Cruz! They make the coolest(and most expensive) bikes, did you see any?
On the same theme, north of SF is Marin County, that's where it all began in 1970s, with Gary Fisher et al racing on old cruiser bikes with balloon tyres.
The Marin bikes factory is there, the Grateful Dead uses the same building for rehearsals, how cool is that?
