A bit of wisdom I've recently learned: the only thing more challenging than packing for a cooler temperature climate when it's 100+ degrees outside, is trying to find a raincoat in a town suffering a severe drought. And leaving both of those tasks until the last minute is not a good thing.

But for better or worse, we're almost on our way. The traveling McG's are proud to present:

The 12 items of packing for Suwon

On the week before leaving, my true love gave to me.....

12 jars of Texas preserves (gifts for my husband's coworkers)
11 documents delivered to the mortgage broker (preparing for a 5 week international trip just wasn't enough stress, we decided we should also start the process of building a home at the same time : )
    10 freshly painted toenails (mine)
9 different communication apps on the smart phone (his)
8 books downloaded on the Kindle for the 15 hour flight
7 Skype calls with family (some even while packing : )
    6 pairs of shoes (mine)
5 button down shirts (his - yay for complimentary hotel laundry!)
4 XL Ziploc bags (to protect the shirts and shoes in case the preserves and liquor don't make it intact)
3 small bottles of Tennessee whiskey (also gifts for my husband's coworkers - that's his story and he's sticking to it ; )
2 humongous suitcases to pack everything in

and a thousand item to do list completed (or as close to complete as it's going to be).

Next stop, Suwon! (via Bergstrom, DFW and Incheon)

No wonder you ran out of room in your suitcase! Whiskey and preserves will do it every time! Keep those posts coming...I want to share this trip vicariously! Love you both,
