We made our way into town viar public transit.  We wandered around for several hours with no real destination in mind.  Revisited some of yesterday's sights and did some souvenir shopping.  The Czech Republic specializes in Bohemian crystal, amber jewellery, nesting dolls and funny hats.  We went into one crystal store called Kosta Boda (?  I have the card somewhere).  I definitely plan to return one day so that I can buy one of their limited editions when I can afford it!  That said, I think the company originates out of Sweden.

We stopped for lunch at a pub for a beer and baguette sandwich.  That put us out a whole $4 CDN.  We then picked up tickets for a showing of Mozart's Don Giovanni performed by marionettes.  Apparently, the show is the pride and glory of Prague.  I think that's a title the Czech people should seriously consider assigning to something else.

Problem #1: The story was in German opera, so we had a real hard time establishing a story line.

Problem #2: If you thought you could decipher a plot from the puppets actions, think again.  The puppets were flung around the stage with such violence, the paint was transferred from their face to the set.  Result: Puppets fit to give the children nightmares.

After the puppet show we stopped at a restaurant where we had our own private jazz performance.  How romantic!

We then made our back to camp, mingled for a bit before hitting the hay around 10.  Yep, me and Brit...always the life of the party.
