We wake up to breakfast and a the view of dawn over the Blue Mountains.  A clear winters day. We landed and walking up the race, hearing an Australian accent over the PA was a bit of a shock. Nasal.

We had decided to change into our lederhosen and drindle to walk out in, so we got our bags and filled in our declarations.. A very nice customs officer came over and had a look at our forms and wasn’t at all worried about our food stuffs and leather. When we said we were going to get dressed in traditional German outfits, he shook his head and said we were such bogans. He stamped our cards, before we headed off to get dressed.

All dressed in full lederhosen and drindle, we made our way out the door and down the ramp to hugs, kisses, family and home. We will let the pictures tell the story.

Well, that’s about it for our fantastic Uber Euro Vacation. Would we do it again….absolutely in a heart beat. # months was not enough, but how long is ever enough for an adventure where your imagination becomes real life. Thanks to Ziggy and Anne at Buzz-around for Hans Bubi, character all on tis own. Hans’ evil sidekick, Helga the evil GPS. Our bike (who for some reason never got names).  All the fabulous people we met, place we went to, the delicious culinary delight served up on coloured plastic from the van kitchen. Finally, my lovely wife Rachael, who put up with me (6 ft 6 and 19 Stone) in such a small space for 3 months. Must be true love. I couldn’t think of a better person to spend 3 months with in a confined space.

Til next time…….
