The next adventure was the Greyhound bus terminal to catch our $16 bus from Calgary to Banff. We thought Air Canada security screening at LAX was bad...this was a nightmare...note to self 'don't be a tightarse next time & pay the extra $5 for seat selection'! We should have known it was going to be bad when I tried to pre order a taxi for Banff & they wouldn't take our order because the bus might not ever arrive! Apparently they overbook each bus so you are lucky to get on. But we made it safe & sound & have another Greyhound adventure on Sunday.
Tonight we ventured out to the Elk & Oarsman pub for dinner...caught the local roam bus & had mr personality as our driver...it is a self explanatory system really :) Alex & Dog were 'game' & tried the elk for dinner. And Brooke had us all dancing on the street waiting for the bus home.
Banff is beautiful & it was a great way to spend Christmas Eve...although it takes Santa a long time to get here! Secret Santa came tonight though :)
