Where I stayed
Today we woke up and spent our last breakfast and morning at Ikies. Our friend was absent for our day of departure. After breakfast we then took our juice and champagne to our hot tub and I made a mimosa. Around 10am it was time to shower and pack up all of our belonging which were a lot since we had our wedding. Now we have two backpacks and two wheeling suitcases. It was quite a task to pack everything up.
We finally had everything packed up with time to spare before check out. We then sat near the receptionist desk looking up things to do in Crete while we waited for the bus to take is to the port.
We left for the port and had to take a connecting taxi to get is to our destination. Our ferry was running an hour late from a nearby island. We sat and worked on postcards and tried to catch up on blogs while we waited.
The ferry came and everyone boarded. We passed time looking at out wedding photos until I started to get sea sick. It was weird because this ferry was much larger than the ferry in Ireland but I think the waves and speed made me sick. I finally fell asleep and woke up feeling better while Sean watched awful TV programs on the ferry.
We finally arrive to Crete after 2 hours and was bombarded by taxi cab drivers. We walked 10 minutes to our hotel, which was not nearly as extravagant as Ikies. :( We then went to a nearby taverna and had dinner before we went to bed.
Much love,
