Wednesday, Emma & I got to visit the War Tribunal for the Rwandan Genocide. It was great...we got to see a trial of 4 men who were government officials at the time of the genocide. They were accused of/charged with conspiracy to commit genocide, allowing genocide, and a bunch of other stuff. The witness, who was also accused of the same crimes & had already had his trial, was clearly guilty. It was amazing to see the closing (the actual closing was not open to the public but we got to see the last witness called) of such a high-profile case.
Yesterday we went to Usa to see the orphanage that a friend's mom started there. That was also amazing; the kids were great and the orphanage is nicer than any home in the town. Yesterday was also Emma's last day here. She was sad to leave.
Ok so when I posted this originally I wasn't actually finished but the internet cut out...
Anyway, the whole reason this post was for DAD was:
1. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! (you should be getting a post card soon)
2. Linda, the 3 year old I live with saw your picture and gleefully shouted "Jesus!" because she thought that's who you were! Just thought that'd make you laugh...I about died laughing.

Thank you
That must surely have been a difficult thing to see without getting emotional (the trial). Unfortunately, that sort of thing is still going on in places like Darfur. Even the diamond trade has caused much bloodshed and death in that region. I was most happy to hear about the orphanage and pleased to learn that they have good shelter and living conditions. Thanks again for keeping me informed. I love you and miss you very much. Pop
I'm not Dad, but . . .
I'm sure Ron enjoyed this post, since he's so into history, especially while it's in the making. I hope you got some pictures at the orphanage; when Buddy was in Korea, he visited an orphanage regularly, and sent many pictures home. I love you, and you're always in my prayers. Meemaw
Great stuff
You sure have gotten to see a lot of interesting things since you have been there. It sounds like you are making the best of your time. I hope you are allowing yourself to get some rest. I'd like to hear about your actual internship- what you are doing and how you are liking it. I love you, mom

WWJD
Well, I'm not quite sure how to respond to that so I just won't. Would it be O.K. to add that I haven't laughed that hard in years?
