For starters, I skyped me dear friend Amy Bauer today!! Her video was not working so she got to see me, but I couldn't see her.. however, it was great to hear her voice and a voicemail that I left her a couple of weeks ago! haha
For dinner a group of girls and I ventured to a resturant called Trumpet Tree... amazing food! And yes "ventured" is the correct term.. it was quite a venture to get there! haha Anywho.. we all split nachos (some of the best I've ever had.. they had a spicy sauce that wasn't salsa and some amazing chicken), followed by a chicken burger with a pesto, mango chutney (AWESOME chicken, for real) and then carrot cake. My belly was full and happy :)
After, in the lounge area of our res we watched "Waiting for Superman". As a future educator, I cried. It is so depressing to see the state our education system is in, however, it was also inspiring in reminding me that I want to be one of the good teachers that helps students learn and stay on track and not a "lemonhead", as they are called, who sets students back 2-3 grades when they are a poor teacher.
