Interlaken – Lausanne
Formule 1 Lausanne 59 CHF (40€)
Fine 28 degrees
Today we travelled through some beautiful countryside. A winding road past the lake then through mountain areas and lovely towns. I was constantly on the lookout for my "cow with a bell" when we came upon a valley where every cow was wearing a bell and the whole valley was filled with the sound of cowbells. The scenery was stunning. We stopped at Lake Geneva and then at Chateau de Chillon, the Chateau on the lake at Montreaux. Montreaux is the Riveriera of Switzerland and has large expensive hotels. Our last stop was at Lausanne where we stopped for half an hour to see the cathedral then went into town to discover there wasn't much else to see. We drove towards Ouchy which is a large marina but this was completely blocked by containers and barbed wire and police…don’t know why. We stopped further up at the smaller marina and park then headed for our Formule 1. We decided one night would be enough and tomorrow will head into France.
