On the way to Puno, you reach the Altiplano, where the Andes are at their widest, the most extensive area of high plateau on earth outside of Tibet.
That was quite impressive but it really starts to get cold now! It goes minus something during the night and there is no heater in the hotel rooms here. So, I sleep with 5 blankets and my Peruvian hat ;-)
