In Izmir we took a tour to see the Ephesus ruins and the Virgin Mary's house. In the Ephesus ruins we saw the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian and the Odeon theater. The Odeon theater was huge and echoey! The Odeon theater was huge and echoey! The Odeon theater was huge and echoey! The Odeon theater was huge and... Ok, I'll stop echoing now. Jess and I immediately ran as far up on the theater as we could. I just loved the look of the huge stone steps leading down to the half circle at the bottom... with the people far, far away and the breeze going, it just felt perfect. Way down momma waved at us and smiled, yet she wasn't willing to climb all the steps to where we were. On the tour there were cats everywhere! There was a little girl who apparently loved cats. Every cat she saw got a hug. She was really cute! At the end of the tour the little girl told her mom, "I like this place. You know why? Because it's got lots of cats."
